We’re a software studio in Alberta, Canada. We build web apps, mobile apps and Discord bots for clients, and we run three products of our own: Portage, Scorebug and Delta‑V.
Wyatt designs your project, builds it and launches it.
Design, engineering and release all happen in one place, so nothing gets handed off halfway through. That’s how we build our own products, and client work runs the same way.

How we work

We run our own apps
Portage, Scorebug and Delta-V all have real people using them, so we deal with app store reviews, subscription billing and the odd 2am crash report ourselves.

What we test
Delta-V has a test suite that checks the game’s economy and difficulty curve every time something changes. The site works for people who turn animations off.

No forced ads, private photos
Delta-V has no forced ads, and Scorebug keeps your photos and ticket stubs private. Neither was the most profitable option.

You own the code
Your code lives in your own repository and runs on hosting you own, with written notes for anything that isn’t obvious. You can move it whenever you like.

Wyatt McPherson is the founder of Cadenic Studios. He designs and builds the studio’s own products and its client work.
Before Cadenic, Wyatt spent more than ten years in marketing and growth. It shows in how we launch and look after our own products.
How a project runs
It starts with a written brief and ends with the code in your own repository. Anything we agree on along the way gets written down.

Brief
You send a written brief through the contact form, saying what you’re building, what it has to do and the budget range you’re working in. Every brief gets a written reply, whether or not the project is a fit.

Call
We have a short call to go through your brief and find the tricky parts. Most projects have one or two, and finding them early makes the estimate more reliable. Discord projects skip this step, because the free written teardown covers the same ground.

Scope
You get a written estimate that lists the assumptions it’s based on. If one of them turns out to be wrong partway through, the estimate already says which number changes and why.

Build
Work goes into your repository from the first week, with a preview link you can open any time.

Handover
You get written notes on how to set it up, release updates and deal with anything that tripped us up. They live in your repository, so another developer could pick the project up without us.
